Gus is an adult male who loves to go for rides, walks and loves to get belly rubs! He is looking for a stable home with firm parents and no very young children.   He tends to be a brat and wants his own way.  The ideal owner MUST be the Alpha.  He CANNOT go to a home with cats who are afraid of dogs [he lives with cats who think they are dogs and they get along fine--he chases ones who run from him] or young children (under age 8-10.) He is 100% housebroken and recently had a dental cleaning. He rides very well in a car.  Don't let his prematurely graying face fool you--this is not an old dog!  He first came into rescue as a 1 yr old 4 years ago, so we KNOW how old he is.  He is your classic basset--smooshy, wrinkly with stubby legs.
